How to get a library card

  • Image result for library cardTo borrow from the J.F. Drake Memorial Learning Resources Center (Drake LRC) you must apply for a Community User Library Card.
  • You must be 18+ years and a resident of the State of Alabama.
  • Please contact the Circulation or Reserves Desk at 256-372-4723 to fill out an application form and show a current valid government ID (the first service desk on the 2nd floor of the LRC).
  • The card is valid for 12 months.

Borrowing Policies

To borrow items, please present your Community User Library Card & a Photo ID.

Limited Service:

  • check out books and media from the main circulating collection only
  • use computers designated for public use
  • use databases in the library only (no remote use)
