LRC Databases and E-Resources: Accessing Online Resources


New to Drake LRC?  Welcome!!!

Follow these steps to register your account and then gain access to ALL of our resources--both in print and online.

1. Register your account here

2.  You will enter your name, A#, University email, classification, and choose your own 4-digit PIN.

3.  The system will generate a temporary barcode for immediate access to library resources.  We will update the account within 24 hours to reflect your A# as your permanent login/barcode.

Research Assistance

Off-campus users can *chat* with us by:

  • Chat with us, Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the Drake LRC web page, or

Accessing & Using eContent

All AAMU faculty, staff, and students have access to thousands of ebooks and hundreds of millions of articles from scholarly journals, as well as trade journals, magazines, and newspapers. For more information about accessing these resources, please visit LRC Databases and eContent .

All AAMU faculty, staff, and students can also borrow materials from other libraries via Interlibrary Loan, or ILL.  Materials borrowed via ILL must be picked up on campus at Drake LRC, but some items like chapter excerpts or journal articles may be emailed tp you as PDF attachments. 

You must also know some basic information about the book or article you wish to borrow. Click here to get started, Interlibrary Loan.

Remote/Off-Campus Access

To access any eContent or eResources on- and off-campus, you must have a library account in order to access online databases off campus. 

 

Please create your account here or click on My Account at the top of the Drake LRC Homepage to register. 

 

If you have previously set-up your account, login using your A# and 4-digit PIN.  If you cannot remember your PIN, click on the "Forgot your PIN?" option in the Login/My Account menu near the top of the page in order to have it emailed to you (the email account on file with us).  Your PIN will be delivered within 5 minutes. 

 

Once your account is registered/created, click on the resource you wish to view.  You will be prompted to login.

BARCODE: your University A#
PIN#: The last 4 digits of the phone number on file or the PIN created with your library account. *
