Stop by the reference desk with your research topic and we will assist you with your research strategy.

Individual Session

Schedule an individual consultation with a reference librarian. We offer dedicated help on your research topic.  This is a great serve if you need to push your research to the next level and need assistance!

Small Group Session

You can schedule a small group session with a reference librarian.  These sessions assist small groups of students develop their research strategies.

In a personal research appointment a reference librarian can help you:

  • Develop a research plan
  • Refine and clarify research topics
  • Locate and retrieve relevant resources including books, journals, visual media, etc.
  • Develop scholarly evaluation skills

Call the reference department with your inquiry and we will assist you over the phone. The phone number to the  reference department is 256-372-4712. The reference department has librarians and assistants who can assist with your research topics.
