Bulldog Makerspace Lab: Home

This lab is designed and intended to aid in the flourishing of innovation and creativity of our Bulldog community.

About the Makerspace Lab

The J.F. Drake Memorial Learning Resources Center (LRC), the library, has joined the makerspace academic community and welcomes the MakerSpace Lab @ AAMU. This lab is designed and intended to aid in the flourishing of ideas and concepts for students and community users. You are invited to visit, take a tour, serve as mentor to an idea, or be a maker. The start-up support of the MakerSpace Lab @ AAMU comes from the third tier grant award from the Jane K. Lowe Foundation. We are excited to offer our users a plethora of software, 3D printers, computers, 3D scanners, and supplies for their creative designs. The MakerSpace Lab will be located in Room 216 on the second floor of the Drake LRC, between the study rooms and collection of journals.

A copy of the MakerSpace 3D Printing Policy and Procedures is located on this page. Anyone who wishes to use this space will be required to read it, complete the Makerspace User Agreement Form, and reserve a timeslot. Access to the Makerspace is by appointment only, and all reservations will be forwarded to a member of the LRC's Access Services department in order to ensure that an LRC representative is available to run the Makerspace. For any questions pertaining to the use policy and updates on the services provided, please contact us at (256) 372-4554 or creative.spaces@aamu.edu.
