Course Description

Physical Chemisty Lecture I

A study of gas laws, classical thermodynamics, thermochemistry, single and multicomponent phase equilibria, properties of solutions, chemical equilibria, electrochemistry and transport properties.

 

Learning Outcomes

1. Students will develop an understanding of gas laws, thermodynamic equation of state.

2. Students will develop an understanding of the laws of thermodynamics and their applications.

3. Students will develop an understanding of phase rule and phase equilibria for one- and multi-component systems.

4. Students will develop and understanding of electrochemical phenomenon and chemical equilibria.

5. Students will develop an understanding of solutions properties and transport properties.
