Electronic Submission - Step 1

Follow Guidelines

Information on preparing theses and dissertations is provided on Alabama A&M's graduate studies website in the Thesis/Dissertation Handbook. The handbook includes information about formatting, style, graduate submission procedures, electronic submission procedures, copyright, and other issues.

Electronic Submission - Step 2

Converting your manuscript to PDF

Electronic Theses and Dissertations must be submitted as a single PDF file of the entire document.  Documents can be converted to PDF if you have the full version of Adobe Acrobat which can be costly. However there are online programs that can convert a word document into the PDF format for no or minimal cost.

  • Neevia Technology: Be sure to change Output Format to PDF/A to ensure that fonts are embedded.
  • CometDocs: Converts with embedded fonts.
  • PDF Converter: Converted files can be downloaded directly or e-mailed to you. This online utility does embed all fonts used in your document.

Electronic Submission - Step 3

To submit your thesis or dissertation, you need to have your document available as a single PDF file (See step 2).

Submitting your document is a self-guided multi-step process.  Go to the ETD Submission page to begin.
